Hello, and welcome to my website. I am here to talk about healthy movement, body image, eating disorders, mental health, and evidence-based concepts around yoga. Of particular interest to me are senior fitness, back injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.


My goal is for this site to be a repository of solid, evidence-backed information on How To Move Your Body In Healthy Ways – as well as how to love the body you’re in, even if you want to create some change in it.

My last name is Mattes. I am a yoga teacher. When I decided to start a new blog, it took me a little while to settle on a name.
